Your host, Lady Linlithgow, is a wealth of knowledge on antiques and interiors, and has skilfully recreated the grandeur of the house since its recent restoration. Despite its over-ample size, central heating and roaring log fires make this country house a very warm and cosy abode in every season.
Sink into the four-poster beds and roll-top baths and lavish furnishings of the grand rooms that ooze with the style and grandeur of the past. Relax and enjoy home cooked feasts conjured up by the characterful cook who has been part of Lady Linlithgow’s extended family for the last 20 years. Make yourself at home in the nine-acre garden, enjoying the tranquillity of the beautiful lake, the tennis court and the 30ft swimming pool (summer only).
